Documents: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF and interactive reports

You can upload several files at once. If you want a finished file back, name the format — "give me a Word doc", "export it as Excel", "make it a deck" — otherwise you may get an answer in the chat rather than a file.

What each format supports

If you have a house template, upload it and ask for that layout — far quicker than describing the styling from scratch.

Interactive reports: the other kind of delivery

Some output is worse as a file — many sections, charts, and you want to send it to someone. That is what an interactive report is for: a self-contained web document that appears as a card in the chat and opens in a side panel, with a table of contents, tabs, collapsible sections, sortable and searchable tables, and charts. It can also produce a share link that works without a Quodara account.

Research, audits, retrospectives, competitive analysis, due diligence and reviews are almost always easier to read this way than as a wall of chat.

A report is for reading; it does not replace the downloadable file. The two are not in competition.

When not to ask for a report

A conclusion that fits in a few sentences, one or two numbers, a small table, or a straight "how do I / why does / is it" question — those belong in the reply. Forcing a report on them just adds a click. You can always say "keep it short, no report needed".

Common questions

Q: Can you convert a PDF to Word? A: The content can be extracted and re-laid-out as a Word document, but complex layouts will not come back one-to-one — scans, multi-column pages and heavy image-text mixes least of all. Say which pages matter most and it is much likelier to come out right.

Q: Can it read scanned documents? A: Yes, via OCR. Phone photos of invoices, contracts and whiteboards all work.

Q: Can it handle a batch of files? A: Yes — multi-select on upload. Bulk renaming, pulling one field out of many files, and rolling dozens of PDFs into a single sheet are all normal requests.

Q: Can generated documents follow our corporate template? A: Yes. Upload the template and say to keep its styling and layout.

Q: Does a report share link require the other person to sign in? A: No, it opens for anyone. So check what is in it before you send it — see the privacy section of 06-explore.md.

Q: Do data charts come from here too? A: Charts belong to interactive reports — they are plotted from your data. An illustration or a poster is a different pipeline, see 10-media.md.
